1) Sales / Account Executive – Data Center & IT Managed Services

Amnet is an innovative, fast-paced technology solutions provider in Stamford, Connecticut. We are a
recognized industry leader in the design and implementation of best-of-breed technologies that enable
enterprise clients to seamlessly work and communicate regardless of where they are.
We are currently seeking a Sales / Account Executive to build new client relationships, as well as,
expand our very loyal existing client base. The Sales / Account Executive will be responsible for quota
attainment as part of an integrated selling process working closely with design engineers and field
project managers. The ideal candidate will have current contacts with enterprise clients, IT directors and
IT consultants that they can leverage.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, cultivating and closing contracts for data center and IT infrastructure managed services for multi-site, medium-sized companies.
  • Determine the client needs and work closely with internal team members to prepare solutions and generate proposals
  • Present proposals to the client, follow-up, negotiate and close the sale, and ensure effective and efficient delivery of the solution
  • Generate up-sells to existing clients
  • Generate business through outbound calls to follow up on prospected leads, referrals and web inquiries
  • Client satisfaction follow up and ongoing management. Ensure satisfaction with existing products and services and keep apprised of new products and services.
  • Maintain database of prospective and existing clients tracking and progressing leads through the pipeline via our in-house CRM system.
  • Work with finance to forecast and report on future business revenue

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years in consultative sales selling data center and IT infrastructure managed services
  • Experience selling VMware, Netapp, EMC, EqualLogic, Citrix, Shoretel, and/or Cisco products desired
  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop and close deals
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Self-starter able to work independently and meet objectives without a high degree of supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to customer service and satisfaction
  • Possess the capability and desire to work in a small office team environment

2) Technicians - Junior and Lead 1

We are seeking all levels of experienced, highly motivated Technicians and Installers for both our Residential and Commercial divisions. The ideal candidate is a team player who is a mature, dependable individual and possesses good technical and mechanical skills.  We are looking for people who take initiative and want to excel in this field. 

Job Responsibilities by Experience Level

Lead Technician

  • Has developed a mastery for installing most systems and troubleshooting and servicing specific systems
  • Is familiar with current best practices for cabling and component installation
  • Has become independent and can run small and large projects.  Will translate project folder information into what’s needed to execute the job
  • Understands all aspects of the project installation process.  Accountable for reported status to PM
  • Can effectively and efficiently manage all resources and time management of those resources including tracking time in project management system
  • Professional on-the-job client communication.  Status Project Manager as needed.
  • Mentor and motivate junior technicians and technicians
  • Stage and prepare materials for installation
  • Assist in the procurement of materials
  • Assigned a vehicle and responsible for vehicle maintenance and restock
  • Carries a state of CT license

Technician

  • Mastery of all of the specialty crimping and termination tools
  • Follow technology blueprints
  • Ability to install equipment and wire the following systems:
  • Security panels, keypads, motions, smoke detectors, etc
  • Main system component racks for network and audio video
  • Whole house audio, tuners, preamps, amps, speakers, etc.
  • Plasma TV’s and all associated brackets and components
  • Whole house lighting switches, keypads, RF transmitters, etc
  • Thermostats, temperature and water sensors
  • Automated shades, drapes and TV lifts
  • Install and tune satellite TV and radio antennas and HD-FM antennas
  • Computer network jacks, patch panels, routers and switches
  • CCTV cameras, streaming servers and DVR’s
  • Corporate network - copper and fiber optic infrastructure installation
  • Balances installation speed with maintaining accuracy
  • Mentor entry-level technicians when applicable
  • Working toward completion of state of CT license
  • Maintain and restock vans
